Methodology
How the index is calculated
- Source. Every service in the 9SMM.COM catalogue that is priced per 1,000 units. Packages, subscriptions, polls and SEO services are left out because they are not priced per 1,000. Prices are the selling prices customers pay, in USD, before any deposit bonus.
- Snapshot. A month's figures describe the catalogue at 00:00 UTC on the 1st of the next month. Past prices are rebuilt from the price and status change log: every price edit, bulk price change and automatic price sync is recorded with its old and new value, so the price of each service at the snapshot time is known exactly.
- Grouping. Services are grouped by platform and by service type (followers, likes, views, comments, members, subscribers and so on), read from the category name and, if that is not specific, the service name. Services whose type cannot be read are not counted.
- Figures. For each group: the median price (the middle value; the mean of the two middle values when the count is even), the lowest price, and the number of services that were on sale. Groups with fewer than 3 services show "—", because a median of one or two services says little.
- Change. The change column compares a group's median with the previous month's median. The price increase and price cut counts are the logged changes during the month for services in the index.
- Limits. Services, categories or platforms that have been deleted or hidden from the site are not in the history. A median describes the range on offer, not the quality of any single service; compare refill, speed and limits on the services page before you order.
